Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
